What We Have To Offer
Welcome to Bay Villa Lodge! We are located at the mouth of Whitefish Falls River and overlook the Bay of Islands. We are a family owned resort that offers cabin, boat & motor, kayak, and canoe rentals. We can also provide winter boat storage, fishing supplies, mid grade ethanol free marine gas, souvenirs, great fishing, and even better service.
The North Channel offers a variety of fish including: pike, trout, walleye/pickerel, perch, salmon, fresh water drumfish, musky, sunfish, and large/small mouth bass. Come and enjoy rod & reel fishing as well as fly fishing. Our vast, opportunity-filled waters contain a variety of islands, weedy bottoms, and shoals that makes it the best fishing area around. You can boat to the open waters or fish right off the dock. Be sure to send us your pictures to be feature on our website or Facebook page.
Fishing may be our number one attraction; but there is so much more to do and see. Explore numerous hiking trails around us, such as Willisville Mountain or the Whitefish Falls Lookout. Enjoy the magnificent scenery, abundance of wildlife, and the unbelievable rock formations created by the Canadian Shield. Bring or rent kayak/canoes and paddle down to discover the captivating waterfalls or explore the wonderful Bay of Islands. On hot days take advantage of being right on the water and cool off with a swim. We also suggest having a cold beer, the air up here makes them taste better and go down quicker.
On our resort we have 7 available cabins to book; each of them with a full kitchen, 3 piece bathroom, a sunroom to enjoy your morning coffee/tea, and a range of 2-4 bedrooms. Each of them are stocked with the essential amenities that include, fridge with freezer, microwave, stove, toaster, coffee maker, kettle, pots, pans, dishes, and cutlery. We also include extra amenities like coffee filters, hand soap, dish soap, garbage bags, hand towels, dish towels, toilet paper, grease can and a recycling bin. In our lodge we have guest wifi available to everyone visiting. On site we have a fish cleaning station, BBQ's for each cabin, and a community fire pit.
Take a trip into Espanola, just 15 minutes North of us, for any essentials you may need (groceries, restaurants, beer, liquor, bank etc). If you are looking for something to do for the day, take a trip 20 minutes South of our resort and explore Little Current where you can cross the Swing Bridge, check out the gifts shops, dine out, and enjoy a brew at the popular Manitoulin Brewing Company.
